The Seal
The "New Green Group Seal" is awarded to companies that are, or strive to be carbon neutral in all their activities.
In order to qualify for "The Seal" a company must calculate their carbon footprint (or at least those activities that contribute to global warming) and put in place measures to reduce where possible and otherwise offset their contribution. The ultimate aim of all these activities is to create an environment where not only is damage offset but all businesses and individuals contribute
positively to the environment through their activities.
Definition of Carbon Footprint:
A carbon footprint is a measure of the impact human activities have on the environment in terms of the amount of green house gases produced, measured in units of carbon dioxide. It is meant to be useful for individuals and organizations to calculate their personal or organizational impact
